The review found, "crucially, the e-mails cannot always be relied upon as evidence of what actually occurred, nor indicative of actual behavior that is extreme, exceptional or unprofessional."
In other words: the report's authors suggest that you should go on trusting these very scientists with a scientific and political project estimated to cost trillions of dollars --- because, hey, no one can really prove that they actually did any of the "extreme, exceptional or unprofessional" things we know they talked about doing.
